CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

We are seeking a Home Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care in our clients homes

PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT (PCA)

Hiring those interested in working on non-medical cases and have the desire assist our clients

Job Summary
The Personal Care Aide (PCA) is a member of the Home Care Team who provides a personalized
approach of ensuring every client has their specific needs met to maintain independence within
their home. The Personal Care Aide is responsible for observing, reporting, and documenting any
changes in level of care. Duties may include personal care, nutrition, maintaining a clean,
healthy, and safe environment, assist with ambulation and transfers, home management, toileting,
and medication reminders. Duties below are not inclusive to maintain this position.
                                                            Qualifications
The applicant must be 18 years or older. Must be able to read, write and follow verbal and written
instructions and document the services provided. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
preferred. Have at a minimum 1 year of experience and be able to receive documented on the job
training.
                                                         Responsibilities & Duties
• Comply with clients Rights and Responsibilities/Confidentiality/HIPPA
• Demonstrate use of Standard Precautions
• Supervise safety of client while toileting, bathing & dressing; as well as assist with
transfers and ambulation
• Assist with bathing, peri-care, general skin care when skin is unbroken
• Assist with application of non-prescription support stockings
• Assist w/dressing, grooming, shaving, oral care, haircare, nail/footcare (no cutting of
nails)
• Reports changes in clients situation (mental, skin breakdown, healthcare, etc.)
• Prepare simple snacks or meals and encourage and monitor fluid/food intake
• Explain procedures to client
• Identify, report, and eliminate safety hazards in the home
• Perform light housekeeping, clean bathroom, vacuum, sweep, mop, linen change,
laundry, and empty trash

• Reports to Director or Service Supervisor any acute or pertinent changes in a client’s
condition.

The Nurse Aide ( NA) is a paraprofessional who is a member of the home care team who works directly under the supervision and direction of the RN Supervisor or Director and provides various
services for the client. The majority of which would pertain to In-Home personal care services
and activities of daily living. The duties listed below are not inclusive of the duties and
responsibilities but is an example of responsibilities for the position for the Nurse Aide.
                                                             Qualifications
The applicant must be 18 years or older and have a minimum of a High School Diploma. Must be
able to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions and document the services provided.
Have at a minimum I year of experience and have a satisfactory standing on the NC Board of
Nursing. We require two (2) satisfactory references from previous employers.
                                                    Responsibilities & Duties

• Demonstrate use of Standard Precautions
• Supervise safety of client while toileting, bathing & dressing.
• Explains all procedures to client.
• Assist with bathing, peri-care, dressing, grooming, shaving, oral/denture care, haircare
and nail/footcare (no cutting of nails)
• Assist with toileting, catheter care incontinence care, emptying ostomy/external urinary
bags
• Assist with cleaning around feeding tube.
• Perform baths for bedbound clients
• Assist with application of non-prescription support stockings
• Observe, document and report any changes in clients health to RN Supervisor
• Prepare simple meals or snacks, while encouraging and monitoring food and fluid intake
• Maintain and follow safety/emergency procedures
• Remove clutter and potential hazards
• Assist with transfers and ambulation; and at times may use Hoyer lift, Chair Lift,
Transfer/gait Belt
• Take and record vitals, provide medication reminders and assist with pre dosed meds
• Assist with home management tasks.
